  • 1 lb 450 g lean ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice
  • 1 cup carrots chopped
  • ½ cup spinach chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ~3 cups water
Operation steps

  • Place lean ground beef into the crockpot and gently break it apart with a spoon. No frying needed.
  • Add cooked brown rice, chopped carrots, and spinach into the crockpot. Pour in about 3 cups of water to cover.
  • Cover with lid and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours (or HIGH for 3–4 hours) until tender and fully cooked.
  • Once cooked, stir in olive oil. Adjust texture with a splash of warm water if needed.
  • Let it cool before serving. Portion according to your dog’s weight and activity level.
note
• Feeding Size: Feed about 2–3% of your dog’s body weight per day, split into 2 meals. Example: 20 lb dog ≈ 1 cup per meal; 50 lb dog ≈ 2 cups per meal.
• Storage: Store in fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months in portioned containers. Add a splash of warm water when reheating.
• Variations:
• Swap sweet potatoes for rice to make it grain-free.
• Use turkey or chicken for lighter protein.
• Add peas or green beans for extra fiber.
• Vet Tip: This recipe is balanced for short-term feeding or meal rotation. For long-term exclusive feeding, ask your vet about supplements.
